Elliott Aiena is a queer and transsexual textile artist and writer currently based in Oakland, California. Born 2001 and raised in a sleepy town on California’s Central Coast, they have long turned to art to connect with the minutiae of their environment. Influenced by his own experience of medical transition and the current political climate targeting queer and trans people, he seeks to challenge the deep, visceral emotions that drive campaigns against social and bodily nonconformity. Elliott received their BFA in Textiles from California College of the Arts in May 2024.
